Pop NMs, Salvage, and Maat, oh my!

The past two days, they've been festive. Have I gotten a lot done? Of course not! It kind of feels like I did, though. Of course, I only gained one level, 66WHM ONRY! But of course I deleveled. :( Oh well, It's not an awful thing, at least I'm close to 66 again. Honestly, I just want to be 75. Merit WHM a bit, get my WHMMELEEONRY gear, and put it in the closet. I want to play PLD! the AF is to die for, and it's just a fun job.





Speaking of PLD, Houz decided I needed a Hospitalizer earring. So we trekked out to Misareaux Coast, trying to pop the NM. It wasn't too bad, Vit came out for the second half of the first pop. Did it twice, no drop. Oh well, I have like, what? 54 more levels until I need it? I haven't even unlocked PLD yet! But i want to be PLD, I decided it already! Aieee!



Big achievement of the day, fighting and beating Maat. I didn't get any screenshots of it though, I was panicking when he was hitting me for 120 damage a pop. But I fought him at 66, you know, for a chance to waggle my small epeen around a bit. I wonder, is an epeener worth it? I don't know if i wanna spend 8mil on a piece of gear that gives +2STR more than the 300k piece. But hey, I'll be spending what, 1.2mil on a nobles? But damn does it look nice. And, well, isn't that nice lookin' piece of gear worth it? I'm really only worried about looking nice. But I kinda wandered off there, the point was to say hey, I beat Maat! Wewt!



My first real endgame event was today. Salvage! Vit invited me, and the team was Vinoda, Maestrom, Ronin, Lordmagus(was that his name? be damned if i remember now) Dories and Jararde. Man I love the music, and the area is so pretty! It's tough, though. I must've died 7 or 8 times, Fun, though! But what's not fun is losing my level. :( I felt totally endgame going in, felt like a huge nub coming out. But hey, I did something!









I feel productive lately.

Rebirth

After a long break, and an even longer absence from using a blog, I've decided, "It's time". that's right, time to open up the hatches and start up the 'ol blog. Now that I'm sluggishly moving to endgame, and Ari's 75, we'll have, you know, exciting things to talk about! More exciting than, say, getting our subjob items. No, big, epic, cool endgame things!







Here, to my left, is a picture of Vit and I, trying to get the password and get to the top of Castle Oztroja. Ari and Jedi are dead! I need to raise them oh no! Lar to the rescue!





I've been playing this game, maybe 3 or 4 years now. What do I have to show for it? A measly 65WHM. But is it so bad? I like to think not, as I've made many friends along the way. I may only be 65, but I'm 75 at heart. Keep in mind I'm 65 as we type, with a meager 2k buffer. It's not so bad though, I get a lot done for a 65. I've got sky, if that shows anything! But I still make the mistakes of a level 20, but doesn't that make the game so much more fun? :)







Ah, the Horutoto ruins. I've been through here many a time, this specific screen shot was the final run to get Cold to rank 10. He'd fallen asleep the night we got it for Quick and Jean, so we decided that he, too, deserved to be rank 10. :)







Isn't Wardrober a beautiful thing? After having Summoner for so long, I've never had Leviathan. After so long, I decided I needed the poor guy, also if I ever wanted Fenrir, i'd have to do it eventually. This screenshot demonstrates that I can be with my beloved Levy, and be a Taru at the same time! It's a good thing.






Upon unlocking sky, I was in awe. I was always under the assumption it was bland, boring, a place you'd only be in to make some money. I get there, and I was in love. It was simply beautiful, and the music was so sweet. The mobs I also loved, they had the cutest names. Sprinkler? Butler? Sign me up for this paradise! It was a place that just gave me a sort of good feeling, and I love going there to relax.






Another lovely place is Lufaise Meadows. Since my days as a budding 30WHM with a gimp sub, I've been trying to struggle through Promys. I seem to have chosen the perfect time to start up FFXI again, as Cold was holding runs. I, of course, hopped on board. We cleared all 3 with flying colors! Congratulations to all who got it, and a thank you to Cold for setting up the run!





Well, it's 5AM, the Yagudo Avatar lies dead at my feet, I'd say it's a nice time to sleep, wouldn't you?

The birth of a new blog

Oh, a new blog, you may say? Why, yes, a new blog entirely! I decided to go out on a limb to really display something new, something fresh, that hadn't been done before. so i chose a BLOG. All the kids are downloading blogs on their internets and getting hip to them! Oh, but this blog, this blog is dedicated to Final Fantasy XI. Yeah, you heard me, Final Fantasy XI. Some say the greatest game of all time, some say it's the only game of all time. However there are some who believe it's a government conspiracy, and that video games in general are a myth. Here to prove you wrong are upstanding citizens, contributors to the Bahamut Server. Larien, Aricelia, and Kiris. That's right, here to prove to you that Final Fantasy XI does, in fact, exist! Yes sir, let me tell you, whippersnappers nowadays may be talking about their worlds of craftwars and their age of lines, but final fantasy xi is a timeless multiplayer game.




Soloing... All alone... In Konschtat. Now, it was going pretty well, if I do say so myself. Got from Today I decided to level Warrior, oh but it was slim pickings for invites. I had to resort to... To level 7 to level 9, and a few dumb moves led to a few needs for a few raises. A few times. It was a murky day out, couldn't see a ray of sun through the clouds; it was pretty depressing. But, although the atmosphere may have been gloomy, ask yourself; Dark and lonely leveling, or Valkurm leveling? Go on, you can take your time, no hurry. But, of course, all good things must come to an end. Eventually, a bad pull led to a struggle, and although I was one hit away from killing the little sprout bastard, the delay on my sweet axe led to my death.





I'm not going to lie, I've had a long leave of absence from FFXI, so Ihaven't been doing much. Still need time to get back in the loop of everything. I've fallen behind in leveling and quests, but it's almost Christmas break, so that'll be good catch-up time, then I'll be back to kill0rzing teh mobs and pwnzing teh nubs! But until then, a nice, slow, relaxing stay in Vana'Diel is just what I need. =]
